Audius is a music streaming platform, similar to Spotify, but built on the blockchain. It decentralizes music sharing by empowering artists and users. Artists can upload their own music and users who spend money can know their funds are going directly to the musicians they want to support.

Audius is free to use and, unlike centralized streaming platforms, offers a better experience for users and artists. Traditional platforms charge high fees to users and show ads, while artists receive a small amount of the overall revenue their songs generate. Using Audius ensures that money will go directly from the user/customer to the artist. Plus Audius has a fantastic website, great streaming quality, and features many bells and whistles similar to social media like ‘likes’, ‘follow’, and ‘share’ capabilities.

Anyway, we love Audius it is a fantastic platform, has a really strong UI, the streaming quality is as good as Spotify, and there are very cool (or very dope) artists launching their songs on Audius. Our grade would typically be a no-brainer A+ for Audius but as of right now many of your current favorite artists bypass putting their music on the Audius platform. That will change in the future however as nearly 6.5 million people visit Audius each month. If Audius can figure out some of its current bot and piracy issues it should be an even bigger platform than Spotify in the next decade. You should visit their site.
