Fantom - A fast, secure, scalable blockchain
Could Fantom be the next Ethereum?
Fantom (FTM)

What is Fantom?
Fantom is a protocol designed to improve the current decentralized application (DApp) landscape. It allows the creation of fast and scalable decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
Rather than a single blockchain, Fantom is a network of interconnected blockchains built with their own tokens, distribution rates, and governance tools.
Why does Fantom have value?
Fantom is one of a few key Ethereum contenders, offering an efficient set of tools for building DApps and making them scalable. It’s an efficient Layer-1 protocol that is EVM compatible. Meaning that DApps built using code written for Ethereum can easily be converted over to the Fantom blockchain.
Fantom is one a few Layer-1 blockchains that offer speed, security, and scability. Recently, there has been a bit of controversy with Fantom as one of their lead technical advisors, and crypto-famous developer Andre Cronje, left the project and stirred up some confusion on his way out.
What are the Pros of Fantom?
● Compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
● High rewards rates for stakers.
● Decentralized and transparent.
What are the Cons of Fantom?
● Staking only works in the native wallet.
● Andre Cronje and Anton Nell recently left the Fantom Foundation.

What are FTM’s tokenomics?
The total supply of FTM is 3.175 million, which are gradually distributed among stakers. The rate depends on how much each participant put at stake, but the distribution is expected to be complete around 2023.
Who founded Fantom?
Dr. Ahn Byung Ik, a South Korean computer scientist.
Who are Fantom’s investors?
The Fantom Foundation has conducted two sales rounds, in May and June 2018, raising over $40 million. Some of the firms that invested in the project are Signum Capital, Obsidian Capital, Elysium Venture Capital, Arrington XRP Capital, Nirvana Venture Advisors, Link VC, DHVC, 8 Decimal Capital, JRR Group, and Bibox Fund.
Concise Crypto Grade:
B :Fantom is one of the recent layer-1 blockchains to compete with Ethereum. They are adding new DeFi and Gaming apps to their ecosystem every month. More and more users are migrating from slower, more expensive blockchains, to Fantom and others like Algorand, Avalanche, and more. With Cronje leaving there is some doubt to the future of the Fantom ecosystem but from what we’ve heard there are still plenty of exciting DApps that will be released throughout 2022.
Where can I buy FTM?
Binance, FTX, KuCoin, Gate.io, Gemini.
What ecosystem does Fantom run on?
