What is Polymath?

Polymath is a blockchain platform looking to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology. It allows users to create tokenized versions of securities, using its own Ethereum standard: ERC-1400. Over 200 different tokens have been issued using Polymath.

Why does Polymath have value?

While Polymath is not the only platform that allows the tokenization of securities, it’s strong point of value is the regulatory compliance, that allows traditional institutions to invest in it safely. Polymath allows issuers to set rules for their tokens allowing them to restrict and/or create directives on who can hold the token(s), how they can be transferred, and what geography they are allowed in.

What are the benefits of Polymath?

●       It complies with regulatory measures needed for institutional investment.

●       It allows traditional banks to tokenize their financial products

●       It eases the process to launch tokens and understand the ecosystem; by offering a set of guides and learning tools.

What are the disadvantages of Polymath?

●       Ethereum congestion can hinder its performance.

●       Regulatory compliance means users must go through KYC.
